Buckerell Fete 2024

It’s the final countdown for the 2024 Buckerell Fete, and I’m going to need some help and support (which I know will be readily forthcoming). The timeline goes like this –

Friday 12th July 5pm – All the tables and benches, gazebos, etc., need to be moved from the shed in the churchyard to The Shed at Splatthayes. To achieve this I need some big blokes (or blokesses) with big cars to move the stuff.

Saturday 13th July 8am – The tables for the pop-up show need to be set up and made ready for the entries to arrive at 9am.

Saturday 13th July 9am – Gazebos need putting up, tables and benches put in place, bunting displayed, stalls filled with items, etc. At 11am the judging of the show entries will begin.

Saturday 13th July 2pm – All cars should have been cleared off site by now, so it’s time to enjoy 2 hours of spending, buying those essential white elephants, gorging on those cream teas, winning at tombola, or skittling the afternoon away. The raffle will be drawn at 1545, along with announcing overall show winner.

Saturday 13th July 7pm – The annual Buckerell post fete bash. A chance to meet up with old and new friends. Please make sure this year that you bring along your own food and refreshment to enjoy. There will be two barbecues available for cooking. (Please ensure that these are used safely. We do not want any accidents).

Sunday 14th July 10am – Splatthayes and the Shed need to be returned to pristine condition. Please come along and help if you can.
